Just create playlists and download them, or download albums, whatever, and then you can listen to them anytime you want, regardless of whether you have an Internet connection.
I also understand wanting to be able to play the music when you’re offline. Wanting a CD or vinyl collection to sit at home and play on your home stereo, or even play in your car is one thing, but for me, I don’t see the point in buying any MP3s or buying music from a streaming service when you can just download or stream it. The biggest loss of quality was going from compact discs to MP3s. Open the Amazon Music app and sign into your Amazon account. I’ve been around long enough to have listened to music on LPs, then 8-tracks, then cassettes, compact discs, MP3, and now streaming, and streaming in lossless.
